Academic Search Premier (EBSCO) 
A scholarly, multi-disciplinary database which contains full-text for nearly 4,500 serials, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed titled. Over 8,000 journals are indexed and/or abstracted (as early as 1865 to present).
AgeLine 
From the AARP, abstracts the literature of social gerontology as well as aging-related research from psychology, sociology, social work, economics, public policy, and the health sciences. Links to public domain full text as well as for-fee ordering options are included.
Agricola (National Agriculture Library) 
Records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Library. Includes information on food, nutrition, and substances of abuse (from 1970-present).
Alcohol Policy Information System (APIS) 
Provides detailed information on a wide variety of alcohol-related policies in the United States at both State and Federal levels. Provided by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA).
Alcohol Studies Database 
Citations of over 80,000 research and professional documents dealing with alcohol, its use and related consequences. Contains a growing set of literature on other substances of abuse in recent years. Maintained by the Rutgers University Center of Alcohol Studies.
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs Serials Database 
Information on nearly 400 journals, newsletters, and monograph series in the field of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. It includes both active publications and those that have ceased publication. Maintained by SALIS members at the ADAI Library.
Asian American Health 
Sponsored by the National Library of Medicine, this database is designed to increase public awareness of the health concerns of Asian American minority groups.
Best Practices Database (substance abuse prevention database) 
Database of prevention interventions that have been identified as best practices by one of several agencies. Includes information on SAMSHA, NIDA, NIAAA, OJJDP, CDCP and DOE ratings of programs and
practices. Hosted by Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT).
Business Source Premier (EBSCO) 
Full text coverage in all disciplines of business, including marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics (from 1922 to present).
Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance 
This is a complete listing of federal programs, projects, services and activities which provide assistance or benefits to the American public. It includes summary program descriptions and is searchable by keyword.
Catalog of Nonprofit Literature 
A searchable database which providing bibliographic references with abstracts to the literature ofliterature on philanthropy, the foundation world, the nonprofit sector — particularly works on such topics as fundraising and proposal development — and works related to charitable giving, including project reports, studies, and statistical analyses. Moany documents are available via links. Updated regularly by the Foundation Center.
Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) 
The CGP is the finding tool for federal publications that includes descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online (from 1789 to present).
CDC Wonder 
A portal of links to a wide variety of reports and numeric public health data. Topics include chronic or communicable diseases, environmental health, health practice & prevention, injury prevention, occupational health and reference data.
Clinical Trials Network (CTN) Dissemination Library 
A digital repository of resources created by and about NIDA's National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN). It provides a single point of access to research findings and other materials that are approved for dissemination throughout the CTN and to the larger community of providers, researchers and policy-makers.
Colorado Grants Guide 
Searchable databse of over 500 Colorado funders. Search by specific area of interest, geographic location or type of grant, such as general operating support or capital campaigns. Includes profiles on: local foundations and trusts,
corporations,
national funders,
government agencies, and
religious organizations.
Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects (CRISP) 
CRISP is a searchable database of federally funded biomedical research projects. Includes projects funded by NIAAA, NIMH, SAMHSA .
Consumer Health Complete (EBSCO) 
Consumer-oriented health and wellness database covering topics such as aging, cancer, diabetes, drugs & alcohol, fitness, nutrition & dietetics, children's health, men & women's health, etc. Includes mainstream as well as holistic and integrated prespectives.
CORK: A Database of Substance Abuse Information 
Nearly 70,000 items on substance abuse primarily from the professional literature and include journal articles, books, book chapters, and reports (from the late 1970s to present)
EBSCO Animals (EBSCO) 
Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.
ERIC 
The Education Resources Information Center is an internet-based digital library that includes journal articles, books, papers, and reports in education. If available, includes links to full text. (from 1966 to present).
Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) Substance Abuse Database 
A tool intended "to help treatment providers make informed decisions about which science-based practices are most appropriate in which circumstances and for which individuals." Hosted by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Institute Library at the University of Washington.

Faststats A to Z 
The Faststats site provides quick access to statistics on topics of public health importance and is organized alphabetically. Links are provided to publications that include the statistics presented, to sources of more data, and to related web pages. From the National Center for Health Statistics.
FedStats 
Access to the full range of official statistical information produced by the Federal Government without having to know in advance which Federal agency produces which particular statistic.
FindYouthInfo.gov Program Directory 
A searchable database of youth programs that have been independently evaluated for producing consistent positive outcomes and adaptability to meet local youth programming needs. Programs are searchable by Risk and Protective Factors, keywords, and will soon be searchable by Positive Youth Development Factors as well. Programs are evidence-based and organized by levels(1-3, 1 highest) based on the rigor of the scientific evaluation and replicability.
Foundation Directory Online Professional 
Provides fundraisers with access to searchable online databases of grantmakers, grants, and 990s. Content includes nearly 100,000 U.S. foundations and corporate donors, over 2 million recent grants, and over 500,000 key decision makers.
Foundation Finder 
Basic information on grantmakers in the U.S. including private foundations, community foundations, grantmaking public charities, and corporate giving programs.
Foundation Grants to Individuals Online 
Search detailed descriptions of more than 8,300 foundation and public charity programs that fund students, artists, researchers, and other individual grantseekers.
Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia (EBSCO) 
Over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.
Gale Health Databases (Gale) 
PIC subscribes to Health Reference Center Academic (HRCA) and owns several online eBooks accessible through the Gale Virtual Library. Search both resources simultaneously. HRCA Provides full text access to nursing, allied health and medical journals; consumer health magazines; newsletters; pamphlets; newspaper articles; topical overviews; and reference books. Cross searches PIC's online full text reference eBooks.

Grants.gov 
A common web site for all federal grant opportunities. The site is searchable by keyword, federal funding agency, date, or Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance number. Recovery Act opportunities are also available at this site.
GrantSmart.org 
Search grantmaker name or location to view grantmakers' IRS tax returns (990 PF forms). The IRS Form 990 PF shows an organization’s charitable giving activities and lists grant recipients for the year.
GreenFILE 
Indexes scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports drawing on the connection between the environment and disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and technolog. Contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for selected titles and searchable cited references for more than 200 titles as well.
GuideStar 
Developed by Philanthropic Research, this site features a searchable database that contains descriptions of more than 600,000 nonprofit organizations, including public charities and some private foundations. Based on tax returns filed with the Internal Revenue Service, database entries also include a breakdown of the organizations' assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenditures.

A consumer health site from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services searchable by word or subject.
Health Reference Center Academic (Gale) 
Provides full text access to nursing, allied health and medical journals; consumer health magazines; newsletters; pamphlets; newspaper articles; topical overviews; and reference books. Cross searches PIC's online full text reference eBooks.
Health Source: Consumer Edition (EBSCO) 
Full text of 130 full text health journals, 130 health reference books, a medical dictionary, patient education info -- and more. Topics include medical sciences, food sciences and nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health.
Information About Drugs and Alcohol (IDA) 
Access to over 100,000, bibliographic abstracts and full text articles and reports which focus on drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, as well as mental health, social marketing and health communication issues. Maintained by the National Association for Children of Alcoholics (NACoA)
Kids Search (EBSCO) 
(Grades K-6) ) A colorful, easy-to-use search interface for students in elementary and middle school. Provides access to magazine articles, pictures, encyclopedias, and a dictionary. MAS Ultra - School Edition (EBSCO)

Medline Plus 
A National Library of Medicine site providing information on drugs and supplements as well as 740 topics related to conditions, diseases and wellness. Excellent source for consumer use or to locate information and brochures for clients. Also available in Spanish.
Middle Search Plus (EBSCO) 
For middle and junior high school students, with 140 full text titles (with Lexile reading level), as well as historical essays, 84,700 biographies, over 235,000 images, and 100,000 primary source documents.
National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI) 
NCADI is a one-stop resource for information about substance abuse prevention and addiction treatment. View and order free government reports, manuals, brochures, webcasts, and posters.
Native Health Database 
Current and historical (from 1652) bibliographic information and abstracts of health-related articles, reports, surveys and more pertaining to the health and health care of American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Canadian First Nations. Free electronic delivery of up to 10 articles per day is available if the resource is owned by the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center.
Newspaper Source (EBSCO) 
Selected full text from 25 national and 260 regional US newspapers including the Denver Post, Greeley Tribune and Pueblo Chieftain, and transcripts from TV and radio news.
NCJRS Abstracts Database 
The NCJRS Abstracts Database contains summaries of the more than 190,000 criminal justice, juvenile justice, and substance abuse resources housed in the National Criminal Justice Reference Service Library collection (from 1975 to present).
NIH Senior Health 
A consumer health information web site developed for older adults by the National Institute on Aging and the National Library of Medicine. The site is "senior friendly," offering the ability to enlarge the text, turn on high contrast, and have the text read aloud.
Policy Information Exchange 
A service of the Missouri Institute of Mental Health "the primary purpose of PIE Online is to provide a comprehensive web-based source for information related to mental health substance abuse, and disability policy, including a searchable database of over 5,000 documents."
POPLINE 
"(POPulation information onLINE), the world's largest database on reproductive health, provides more than 350,000 citations with abstracts to scientific articles, reports, books, and unpublished reports in the field of population, family planning, and related health issues." Contains links to public domain and open source resources.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Data Archive (SAMHDA) 
The goal of the archive is to provide ready access to substance abuse and mental health research data and to promote the sharing of these data among researchers, academics, policymakers, service providers, and others. 
Substance Use Screening & Assessment Instruments Database 
Intended to help clinicians and researchers find instruments used for screening and assessment of substance use and substance use disorders. Some instruments are in the public domain and can be freely downloaded from the web; others can only be obtained from the copyright holder. Violence Databases (CSPV) 
The Center for the Study and Prevention and Violence at the University of Colorado at Boulder maintains several databases related to violence related research, videos and curriculum as well as violence prevention, intervention and treatment.
Working Partners Substance Abuse Information Database 
Part of the U.S. Department of Labor Web site, this interactive database provides a one-stop source of information with summaries and full text of materials relating to workplace substance abuse issues.
